Prompt: Create a Meaningful Toy
Ludo - Language Learning Game (Motion Activated)
I decided to create a toy that encourages kids to start learning a second language. The US lacks bilingual speaking citizens, I know I couldn't solve this issue entirely. So, I found the root of the problem. Our Public schools start teaching languages at 17 years old. Kids are implicit language learners, unlike adults who are explicit. This means that they are more curious and excited about things, so learning becomes subconscious. Thus, a game is the perfect solution to make kids excited about learning a language !
Problem Statement
Traditional language learning methods are ineffective and overwhelming to learn without previous knowledge or practice. Learning a second language at a young age is highly effective. Provide people with knowledge at a young age to aid their learning experience down the road.

How can I prepare people for future success?
- Use effective Traditional Language Teaching Methods

- Prioritize different learning styles, encourage practice through user progression, competition, and repetition

- Replicate Immersion through Interaction, Engagement, and Collaboration

How can I design a product that will be engaging and fun, while still effectively teaching a language?

- Replicate Immersion through Interaction, Engagement, and Collaboration
- Motion Activated Game with Reactive screens for user feedback

PROTOTYPING
Using cardboard models, I refined the toy’s shape and size, then developed a comfortable, ergonomic handle that enhanced ease of use.

ASSEMBLY
The toy is designed as a tetrahedron, a shape that reduces material costs while simplifying assembly. Its geometric structure also enhances durability, and the design emphasizes easy repair to extend the product’s lifespan.

How Do You Use It?
